Founded in 1972, Carnival Cruise Line — “The World's Most Popular Cruise Line®” — now carries millions of guests every year, and was the first-ever cruise line to reach the milestone of having sailed 100 million guests!
Carnival Cruise Line is proud to be part of a family of companies owned by Carnival Corporation, which includes sister lines Princess Cruises, Holland America Line and Cunard Line, among others.
Carnival Corporation, parent company of Carnival Cruise Line and other great brands, is the global leader in the cruise industry, leading the way in innovative and sustainable cruising to deliver memorable vacations and build borderless connections. But Carnival never forgets to create unforgettable happiness for the guests during their extraordinary cruise vacations, all while honoring the integrity of every ocean we sail, place we visit and life we touch.
WHAT WE DO
In a nutshell… Carnival is all about fun vacations at sea and ashore! A Carnival cruise features day and nighttime entertainment like stage shows, musical performances, deck parties, casinos and more. Carnival invites the guests to come as they are, and make everyone feel right at home with comfy staterooms, attentive service, casual and elegant dining, plus a variety of bars and gathering places indoors and out. Guests enjoy this unique experience against the backdrop of some of the world’s most beautiful seaports.
Carnival's 29 ships operate cruises as short as a weekend, with others as long as a week or two. These ships set sail from every coast in the U.S. — Carnival has 13 domestic homeports, two in Australia, plus seasonal sailings from Europe. While Carnival is best known for Caribbean cruises, it also sails to other exotic, amazing destinations like Mexico, Alaska, The Bahamas, Hawaii, the South Pacific, New Zealand and Asia.
In summer 2025, Carnival began welcoming guests to Celebration Key, an exclusive Carnival-owned destination on Grand Bahama island, and a member of Carnival's Paradise Collection. The fleet of ships will be growing, too, with five new ships debuting through 2033, including the fourth and fifth Excel class ships (Carnival Festivale in 2027, and Carnival Tropicale in 2028), plus three additions from an all-new ship class.
Carnival Cruise Line proudly supports important causes like St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital® and Operation Homefront. indicates external site which may or may not meet accessibility guidelines
